Booking Policies & Homestay Rules
1. BOOKING and PAYMENTS
Deposit: A 15% of the payment is required at booking.
Payment Methods: Accepted options – credit cards, PayPal, bank transfer
Cancellations:
- Deadline for free cancellation is 45 or more days prior to the start of the check-in date.
- 50% refund on the deposit for cancellations of more than 30 days prior to the start of the check-in date, deduct banking transaction fees.
- Rescheduling stays is at the discretion of the homestay owner
2. LENGTH OF STAY
- 3 nights stay minimum and maximum length of 2 weeks stay
- Check-In: Any time after 3 PM; Check-Out: Prior to 12 PM. Guests are required to inform the host of late arrivals after 9pm.
3. WHAT’S INCLUDED
- Meals – daily basic breakfast, selected cultural meals
- Basic services: Spanish classes, cultural excursions, Wi-Fi, cleaning.
- Access to common areas like the kitchen, living room and patio.
4. HOUSE RULES
- Respect and Quiet Hours: Guests are expected to maintain a respectful and peaceful environment that allows everyone in the home to enjoy their stay.
- Visitors: Guests of our clients are allowed under the full supervision of our clients. Leaving the guests unattended is not permitted.
- Use of Spaces: Guests have access to the following areas in the house – living room, kitchen, guest bedroom and the main patio.
5. LANGUAGE LEARNING
- Class Schedules: Daily 2 hours classes in the morning.
- Cultural Activities: Include participation in organized events or excursions.
6. HEALTH and SAFETY
- Emergency Contacts: Host family will provide the clients with contact details. Guests are recommended to provide the host with local emergency contact info.
- Hygiene: Guests are expected to keep shared spaces tidy after use.
6. PET POLICY
Host Family Pets: Please be advised that there are two very social and friendly resident cats. Due to potential conflicts with the host’s pets, other pets are not allowed on the property.
7. PRIVACY POLICY
Personal Information: Guest information will be used to process booking, tailor services and provide important communications. We guard the information with the utmost care to ensure that it is secured.
8. TERMS and CONDITIONS
Confidentiality: Guests are required to respect the privacy of the host family and other guests when posting on social media. Avoid sharing photos or videos of the host family, other guests, or the home without explicit permission.
Grounds for Refusal or Termination:
- Failure to comply with house rules.
- Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior.
- Non-payment or failure to provide necessary booking information.

Our homestay is located in the beautiful, tranquil Belen Rosales neighbourhood; 5 minutes walk to Rosales metro station, short walking distance to Laureles, 10 minutes taxi ride to El Poblado and 30 minutes stroll to downtown Medellin.
